Director, Venmo Partnerships Integrations

The role
innovative and commercially orientedDirector of Pto oversee Venmo’sand execution of partner integrations into the Venmo user experience. Venmo haspartnership opportunities across a range of use cases including our Payand In-App commerce experiencesacross a range of high demand verticals amongst our users.We know that access to Venmo’sand differentiated consumer base is the primary reason forof all sizes to accept Venmo, and that there is overwhelming demand from our merchant partners to drive discovery, acquisition, and engagement from Venmo consumers, directly within the Venmo app experienceand via omni-channel experiences

Key Responsibilities
Deeply understand our customers and develop an inspiring partnershipvision forVenmo.Develop the partnerships business cases and commercial opportunity,defineand prioritizeuse cases,buildand prioritizepartnerpipelines with the Global Markets and Product Management organizations.
Build and drive a business developmentflywheel:Develop and execute an ambitiouspartner developmentroadmap to make your vision a reality. Use qualitative and quantitate inputs to develop and refinethe partnershipgrowth strategy, partner engagement and business development cycles / tracking.and prioritize efforts.Develop partner facing value propositionsand go to market materials to drive prospective partnerengagement,convictionand conversioninto the Venmo user experience.Lead the negotiation with external partners, engaging cross functional support colleagues, to ensure successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships.
E2E oversight of partner integrations:Engage closely withproductdesign, productmanagement,andengineering to drive the architectural runway anddeterminethe best technicalimplementation/designwhile balancing time-to-market needs for critical customer pain pointsand opportunities. Create and drive integrated partnership integration planstosuccessfullybring the partner value proposition to life, in the most effective way across the Venmo user experiences.Clearly define success measures, tracking and measurement mechanisms.Drivestrongcross functionalgovernance anda close partnership withcross functional stakeholders from product design,product managementand engineeringto thecommercial, marketing,sales
Assume responsibility for allpartnershipperformance metrics, spanningtotal processing volume,revenue, margin, and customer adoption and engagement. You will be expected to deliver aggressive growth for the businessthrough partnerships, and to work with counterparts toestablishtargets, develop detailed operating plans,partnership relationship management protocols,get buy-in for your plan to hit those targets, and secure the necessary investments to deliver on that plan. Collaborate with the finance and analytics teams tomonitorongoing partnerperformance and make strategic adjustments as needed to deliver results and meet or exceed targets.
Leadership and cross-functional partnership:Create a working environment that fosterscollaboration,innovation, speed, and impact. Prioritize speed ofdevelopment andexecution while also holding a high bar for quality. Build stronginternalpartnerships across cross-functional teams (Global Markets,Design, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Marketing/GTM, Risk, Compliance,etc
Requirements
Direct prior experience in eCommerce, FinTech, and banking ecosystem strongly preferred
Strong understanding of consumer products and ecosystems, technologies, regulatory environments, and customer needs.
xperience building end-to-end network and business relationships
Experience influencing and aligning partners across different points of view or functions, to drive action and change
Experience playing a similar commercial role in a multinational organization, with a strong eye for compelling consumer experiences and commercial performance
Multi-disciplined leader - Strong analytical, strategic, and operational chops
Ability to make decisions and progress in the face of ambiguous and at times overlapping priorities, i.e., managing complex deliverables andmaintaininghigh-quality data standards while meeting project timelines
Knowledge of emerging alternative payment options, fintech, blockchain for payments
Demonstrated ability to design, communicate, and implement effective business strategies in highly competitive industries (market positioning, product differentiation, overcoming market barriers)
Excellent negotiation skills – able to influence and persuade in decision making. Ability to effectively deal with complex relationships at the highest level. Skilled at managing relationships with key partners
