Qualifications - Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code. Proficiency in debugging, testing, and optimizing Python applications is essential.
  • Ability to develop clear, specific, and contextually relevant prompts for language model libraries. Proven expertise in utilizing LLM library features for fine-tuning and optimizing model outputs. Skilled in evaluating and refining prompts based on model responses to enhance accuracy and relevance.
  • Experience in identifying security vulnerabilities, software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and anomaly detection.

  • Security Software Development: Develop and implement advanced tools and techniques to scale and accelerate offensive emulation and vulnerability discovery specifically tailored for AI systems.
  • Monitor and Analyze AI Security Threats: Stay informed on the latest attacks targeting AI systems and translate these insights into actionable software solutions.
  • Community Engagement and Advocacy: Foster the open-source community around PyRIT through efforts like blog posts, delivering presentations at conferences, and actively collaborating on GitHub.
  • Promote a Collaborative Culture: Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive culture within the team, encouraging diversity of thought and mutual respect.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing methodologies and practices to enhance the security and robustness of AI systems.
