As a Lab Operations Manager you will be supporting post silicon validation and development with a focus on ARM SoC components targeted at the data center. You will work to support System, Silicon, and SW Engineering teams in a dynamic lab environment. The lab operations manager gives direction to junior lab technicians and oversees daily tasks. The lab manager facilities ordering, shipping, and receiving of lab equipment, supplies, and systems. The lab manager also handles lab access request permissions and audits as well as coordinates lab safety.
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee daily activities of lab technicians
System builds and deployments including FW and OS updates as well as board level rework of components as required
Maintaining lab supplies, stocks, and stores and handling securing and checkout of high value lab items
Lab ordering, shipping, and receiving of equipment and systems
Work with system design and validation engineers for electrical and function validation of datacenter class systems
Grant and audit lab access and security as well as facilitate lab safety and audits
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Electronics
15+ years of practical experience as an electronics technician with responsibilities in lab operations
In depth knowledge of updating system firmware and Operating systems.
Programming of FPGA and flash devices via programmers.
Board rework experience with soldering and hot air systems up to and including advanced BGA package rework
Strong analytical skills for board and system debug
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Must excel in a dynamic team working environment
Must be a self-starter and be able to independently drive tasks to completion
Leadership and mentoring skills a definite asset
Extensive experience in following technical areas:
Board / platform-level debug, including power delivery and sequencing, clock - delivery, silicon failure analysis and power measurement
Modern lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes
Computer hardware and architecture (experience with datacenter servers a plus)
Qualifications
HS Diploma
Work Experiences:
10+ years of Lab experience as an Electronics Technician or related work experience.

Pay range:
$145,500.00 - $218,000.00
