About the Role

As a Claims Associate, you will also work in collaboration with third-party insurers with a focus on timely investigation, routing, and partner concern of claims. You will report to our CommOps Safety team in Hyderabad. Dedication to work in shifts aligning to US Business Time Zone and flexible to work in shifts as per Business Requirements.

What the Candidate Will Do
  • Investigate and submit new claims to insurance carriers by reviewing first reports of loss and supporting materials to accurately identify insurance exposure and resolve applicable insurance policies.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking while adhering to established claims processes.
  • Accurately respond to inquiries received from insurance carriers and other third parties.
  • Demonstrates customer focus when speaking publicly with claimants, drivers, passengers, witnesses, etc.

Alongside that, you might also from time to time be engaged to work on other side projects/new product support initiatives, etc.

  • Be an excellent communicator: You build trust with users who use Uber/the Uber network/platform through your communication. You have a way with words and enjoy expressing your thoughts in emails and phone conversations.
  • You must have a deep understanding of the audience that you are catering to. Strong, grammatically accurate English is a must.
  • Be customer-focused: You are passionate about customer experience, and instantly build a rapport with the riders and driver-drivers who use Uber/the Uber network/platform by being insightful, acknowledging the situation, and displaying a genuine willingness to help.
  • Be a problem solver: Not all customer issues are straightforward. You are passionate about putting the customer first and finding the right solutions no matter how challenging the situation.
  • Apply strong written/electronic communication. The primary method of communication in the role is electronic. Telephonic communication is minimal.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Should be a graduate
  • Prior experience in a Safety Team is helpful
  • Experience in the Insurance / Claims domain is REQUIRED

  • Ability to learn and apply claims policies and procedures.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to provide information clearly and concisely and to connect with a variety of partners.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
