Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the process of building and designing the data models that derived from multiple sources i.e., Manipulating data, flat flies, and raw information into cohesive data sets for our clients to easily use and incorporating the results into actionable insights
  • Interface with other teams to extract, load and transform data from wide variety of data sources using cloud-native data engineering principles
  • Partner with Data Scientist and business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into robust data infrastructure and workflows for the team
  • Provide thought leadership and collaborate with other team members to continue to scale client architecture to evolve for the needs of tomorrow. Contribute to the establishment of best practices including code standard, version control, documentation testing and review process
  • Understand the data needs of stakeholder teams in terms of key data models and reporting, and translate that into technical requirements
  • Influence the future roadmap of Product and GTM teams from a data systems perspective
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data engineering technologies and architectural design
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprints, demos, retrospectives, and deployments
  • Collaborate with application developers to deliver integrated data solutions across core systems
  • Define data solutions for business problems by working directly with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with leadership to align on strategies and negotiate quality solutions
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver under tight deadlines


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data modeling, and building data and analytics products
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, ETL/ELT development, and data warehousing concepts
  • 5+ years of Experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data, relational databases, NoSQL and data warehouse solutions (i.e, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory)
  • Demonstrated experience in Airflow, Luigi or similar orchestration engines
  • 5+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in building data pipelines using Python, PySpark, or Scala
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries across diverse data sources
  • Solid understanding of database storage concepts including relational, NoSQL, and data lakes
  • Experience with data governance tools and practices (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Snowflake)
  • 3+ years of experience managing data governance functions such as metadata management and data quality
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,600 to $159,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,800 to $181,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
