Siemens Engineering Test Technician - Switchboards

You'll make an impact by:

• Testing and inspecting Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboards to applicable standards (i.e. UL1558, UL891, IEEE, etc)
• Use multi meter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure proper wiring and operation.
• Use Hipot, test card, hand tools, specialized software (i.e. Siemens WinPM, Step 7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible, SAP, etc.)
• Perform inspection/audit of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of exposure to electrical components or knowledge of electrical components.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language along with Blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability/experience testing and troubleshooting with strong problem-solving skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years in capacity of engineering or quality functions for power distribution equipment.
• Associates degree or technical training in area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of prevailing codes (UL1558, UL891, UL508).
• Knowledge of power distribution components (breaker, relays, communication devices).

• The pay range for this position is $49,100.00 - $91,400.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
