Key job responsibilities
1. Work with your peers to design, deliver and test high-quality solutions that leverage best-in-industry practices for back-end development and applied machine learning (cloud based).
2. Contribute to fast software iterations that allow the team to quickly test and evaluate new research directions in bioinformatics and machine learning.
3. Present execution plans, test strategies, and operational readiness assessments for planned software to various stakeholders.
4. Identify opportunities to innovate and experiment to achieve key operational and customer metrics.A day in the life
You'll work with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists to plan, design and deliver customer-facing experiences in an emerging product space. You will be hands on in shaping product, user experience, and team processes to iterate quickly. You will partner closely with science and machine learning groups to create a delightful and highly reliable end-to-end product You will need to challenge "how things are done today" to identify new approaches to deliver faster without sacrificing quality. Expect to dive deep into the customer problem. This is an exciting area where the underlying scientific understanding is evolving quickly.Seattle, WA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
