Key job responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Data Science to lead the Data Science and Business Intelligence functions within the Ring Data Science & Engineering org. In this role, you will:
- Align with senior leadership and stakeholders on top priorities
- Oversee implementation of state-of-the-art technical designs (data pipelines, data models, predictive models, dashboards etc.)

- Quantitative Masters Degree or Quantitative Bachelors Degree. May have PhD in a discipline not directly applicable such as chemistry or biology.
- 10+ years as a scientist or science manager
- 7+ years of applying data science models/techniques for large-scale application and building automated analytical systems experience
- 5+ years managing scientists or engineers
- 5+ years experience with SQL
- 2+ years managing managers
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting language

- PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in a least one area of Machine Learning (NLP, Regression, Classification, Clustering, or Anomaly Detection)
- Experience with explainability (XAI) in machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Experience building data products
