This Manager position is accountable for the oversight and management of a portfolio of Talent Development projects across a technical and non-technical curriculum for people in the SaT, from student hire through to partner development.

Learning Strategy

  • Own and drive the identification of learning and development needs in line with business priorities, appropriately engaging with business stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with SaT business and Talent Development leaders, define and design the Talent Development strategy for SaT, in alignment with EY learning strategy.

Design and Develop Learning

  • Design, develop and evaluate learning and development programmes and strategic initiatives, delivering high quality learning deliverables.
  • Adopt consulting skills to develop deep understanding of business issues, building close working relationships with colleagues and collaborating with external experts as required.
  • Engage SMEs for learning design and build of local content as required, including managing pilots.

Deploy Learning

  • Create learning deployment plans and budgets and oversee their execution.
  • Provide clear project updates and communicate at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Work with business stakeholders and learning and development champions to drive the uptake and completion of courses to targets.

Team management

  • Lead and manage team members and invest in their development.
  • Act as a counsellor, coach and mentor, participate in recruitment, drive team development, and manage performance.

Financial Management

  • Support and manage monthly/annual team finance activities, tracking for budgeting and spend as needed.
  • Manage team resources, including budget to achieve business targets, adopting a commercial mindset and approach.
  • Manage commercial supplier relationships.

Brand

  • Build brand and credibility for the SaT Talent Development team, aligning offerings with EY’s leadership model and DE&I priorities.
  • Deliver effective communication to generate high levels of learner and stakeholder engagement across SaT.

Facilitation of learning programmes

  • Facilitation of key courses and workshops as needed.

  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness.

  • Stakeholder management and business consulting with a strong ability to engage and influence others.
  • Strong client focus with the ability to network, manage relationships and work virtually and across borders and cultures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
  • Strong presentation skills (both verbal and written presentations)
  • Team Management, coaching and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage difficult conversations
  • Encourage an environment of open communication, inclusion, participation and self-development
  • Data management and analysis, ability to generate and present evidence-based insights
  • Strong IT skills - MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint.
  • Evidence of identifying and implementing process improvements and creation of best practice

Essential requirements

  • An experienced Manager with at least two years’ experience in a Manager role with demonstrable project and people management skills.
  • Experience of working in HR/Talent/Talent Development in professional services or a large, complex matrix corporate environment.
  • Strong team working and team management skills, with an enthusiastic, can-do, flexible approach, and ability to collaborate to work as ‘one team.’
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
