Role Description:

Market Risk coverage in the BofA Europe legal entity, with a strong focus on regulatory and project deliverables (including EBA Stress Testing, BCBS 239, and FRTB).

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating key regulatory risks and provide interpretation, guidance and advice on applicable regulations to the Head of Market Risk.
  • Tracking the development of regulations and regulatory expectations applicable to Market Risk in the Legal Entity.
  • Supporting the Head of Market Risk and provide regular and ad hoc reporting, as required.
  • Interacting with key regulators, including the CBI, ECB, FRB and OCC.
  • Presenting to governance committees may be required.
  • Understanding of Legal Entity market risk reporting in light of regulatory requirements.
  • Providing expertise and guidance on market risk ICAAP and EBA Stress Test submissions.
  • Coordinating and managing initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Risk Manager working directly with the Front Line and performing risk analysis
  • Good academic background, which may include a postgraduate qualification
  • Good people skills demonstrated across various communication styles (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of financial markets, ideally with solid understanding of Macroeconomics
  • Understanding of financial derivatives and modelling
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize across several competing demands, meeting tight deadlines
