Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• 10-15 years’ experience with Optical Network Equipment and Telecommunications
• Expert in the following key areas: Network Architecture, Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provisioning), Optical Network Hardware (configuration, performance testing, monitoring, operations), Network Management.
• Experience with Quantum hardware and software solutions.
• Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and JPMC policies
• Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies: network, compute, security
• Proven ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
• Support an environment that identifies opportunities to develop others through mentorship and leading by example
• Adept at partnering closely with, and acting as a trusted advisor to, stakeholders across the firm in order to influence strategic priorities
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (JSON, Python). Experience with scripting tools, such as Ansible.
• Extensive telecommunications experience specializing in layer 0/1 transport and above
• Expert level knowledge and experience with DWDM systems design and operations
• Proven track record in delivering technical projects, from design and system configuration to delivery, maintenance, and technical support

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proven experience in building out quantum-safe solutions (e.g., quantum key distribution or post-quantum cryptography) for clients and customers
• Proven experience in adopting and deploying emerging quantum technologies in finance.
