At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re helping our clients protect our world’s natural resources. As a soil specialist on our reclamation team, you will provide technical leadership and support on various projects throughout western Canada. Pave the way for your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
Based out of Calgary, Edmonton, or a home office in a city in Western Saskatchewan or Eastern British Columbia with access to a major airport, you’ll work as part of our reclamation team as a senior soil specialist to contribute to the environmental planning and permitting efforts of privately-owned infrastructure projects. We’ll rely on you to further build our soils program, which includes leading and mentoring field crews and provide support on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning as you bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams associated with our Western Canada Offices to lead a variety of soil and reclamation-based field projects. You will support field data collection efforts, regulatory applications, and assist with the development of technical reports to company and industry standards. This position will start immediately, with an anticipated 80% office work and 20% fieldwork during the winter months and 75% of fieldwork and 25% office work during the spring, summer and fall months. A successful offer will be a full-time position with our reclamation team.
Bring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to conserve our natural resources, and we’ll help you grow!
