Imagine yourself at the center of our SOC design effort, collaborating with all fields, with a critical impact and playing a strategic role of getting functional products to millions of customers quickly.In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to be at the center of chip design effort working with many teams on critical impact issues to enable product ramp. You will perform the following:• Drive the silicon debug effort involving custom circuits.• Work with circuit design teams to define the silicon characterization requirements• Engage with the PE/DFT/FA teams to plan the silicon characaterization/debug for the test chips and product chips.• Perform design analysis, modeling/simulation, spice simulation, statistical analysis and silicon bring up.• Work closely with the systems lab to reproduce the circuit behavior using MBIST, functional diags.• Root cause analysis using various eFA and pFA techniques.
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelors Degree (preferably in a relevant field - EE)
- We are looking for applicants with following key qualifications:
- Experience in one or multiple of the following areas is highly desirable: SRAM circuits, custom circuit design, silicon debug.
- Experience in design of low voltages / low power custom circuits.
- Deep understanding of deep submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, technology interactions with device behavior.
- Solid understanding of device matching, device noise sources (1/f, thermal), extrinsic noise sources (supply, jitter), and their impact on high precision circuit.
- Ability to conduct experiments during silicon debug, gathering and analyzing data; and utilize scripting to support efficient handling of the debug data.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python /Perl or others) and CAD automation tools.
- Knowledge of industry standard circuit and design tools.
