Your key responsibilities
Together with the Application Engineer Team Lead:
- Plan and supervise all activities related to the configuration, installation, deployment and operation of SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central, Learning, Recruitment, and Onboarding.
- Carry out comprehensive configuration, upgrade, and migration tasks within the SuccessFactors modules, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality.
- Implement advanced administration of SuccessFactors, including but not limited to Metadata Framework (MDF) objects creation, Business Rules, Workflows, Events, and Picklists.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to enhance the analytical reporting capabilities of SuccessFactors.
- Apply technical expertise to resolve complex SuccessFactors application problems. This may include troubleshooting issues related to user experience, data model, integration between modules, performance, etc.
- Develop and manage data migration concepts and strategies for SuccessFactors modules.
- Conduct routine system audits and configuration analysis to ensure all features are optimized and utilized with no redundancy.
- Participate in the design/creation and maintenance of APIs and integration flows using SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CPI) ensuring secure and efficient data transfer between SuccessFactors and other systems.
- Monitor the performance of implemented SuccessFactors solutions and take necessary actions to ensure high availability and high performance.
- Ensure system compatibility and consistency by creating and maintaining rules and formulas, object definitions, picklists, workflows, and field dependencies within the SuccessFactors platform.
- Take responsibility for system upgrades, security, release management, and all other technical matters relating to SuccessFactors.
- Develop, test, and document functionality changes, ensuring the system meets the operational and business needs.
- Identify areas for process improvement to continually drive effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
- Maintain the integrity of the SuccessFactors system by performing regular data audits and system checks.
- Regularly interact with software vendors, users, data source providers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
- Stay updated on SuccessFactors updates, new releases, and best practices, implementing them where necessary to optimize the system's functionality and performance

- Challenge/hold the Service Delivery team to account
- Must be able to work within a matrix organization – balancing the needs of the service line against firm initiatives and goals
- Must make decisions, such as prioritize relationships to develop, negotiate with customers and overcome obstacles

Skills and attributes for success
- Proven experience in implementing and configuring SuccessFactors, particularly in Employee Central, Learning, Recruitment, and Onboarding modules.
- Proven technical knowledge of HCM processes and forms, position management, and HR data structure
- Experience with XML schema, XML editor, and SFTP/FTP processes.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema in SuccessFactors.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with data files (CSV, XML, etc.) and propose effective solutions
- Exposure to SuccessFactors integration tools such as BTP CPI (Integration Services)
- Knowledge of system security fundamentals and role-based permissions model in SuccessFactors.
- Familiarity with the underlying SuccessFactors architecture and system landscape.
- Proficiency in the Configuration of Succession Data model, Corporate Data model, and Country-specific Data models in SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Advanced knowledge of SOAP-based Web services, REST APIs, SFAPI, OData for integrating SuccessFactors with third-party applications.
- Strong understanding of Role-Based Permissions (RBP) within SuccessFactors, including the creation of permission roles, groups, and granting permissions
- Familiarity with administering the Metadata Framework (MDF), including creating objects, associations, and rules.
- Proven experience working with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and (IPS).
- Expertise in working with SFTP servers for setting up outbound files from SuccessFactors and handling inbound integrations
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems under pressure.
- Strong analytical ability, with the skill to make data-driven decisions.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest SuccessFactors updates and HR trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex technical issues to non-technical individuals
- SAP SuccessFactors Certification in Employee Central, Learning, Recruitment, Onboarding is a strong plus.
Supervision responsibilities
- Working relationships (daily) with EY ITSD and AMS Lead
- Working relationships (daily) with TCS AMS team
- Liaison to the Business for that Portfolio / App
To qualify for the role you must have
- A degree in Computer Science and/or a business related degree; or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in SuccessFactors Configuration management working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with customer needs
- Significant experience in a customer service role and business management role
- Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
Ideally, you’ll also have
- SAP SuccessFactors Certification in any one of the following Employee Central, Learning, Recruitment, Onboarding
