You will be part of a new team inUnit responsible for developing assigned piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications.

BBSoC RCP Platform is responsible for:

• Innovating, developing, productizing, delivering & maintaining the best Radio Cloud O-RAN and Cloud RAN products to achieve a clear leadership position in Radio Cloud Platforms and Applications
• Successful execution of Cloud RAN Programs
• Leverage open-source communities like OPNFV, O-RAN, OCP to achieve technology leadership
• Achieve Business targets for Cloud RAN HW and SW products

As a Senior DevOps Engineer in new RCP team, your role would include:

• Responsible for development & maintenance of DevOps tools and infrastructure
• Responsible for Integration, Build and/or Release of SW
• Responsible for lab design, installation, management and development, cyber security, lab related order planning, inventory/logistics and safety
• Building highly available and reliable automated and intelligent CICD/DevOps tools and platforms
• Optimize and continuously improve the construction of existing CICD platforms and tools
• Continuously follow up on CICD related architecture, code, testing, deployment, and system optimization
• Leading the implementation of the features and ensuring successful integration of software components within own domain based on product backlogs and specifications
• System design and architecture
• Planning and organizing the work as part of global SW development teams
• Creating and maintaining the platform, DevOps, enabling continuous integration
• Testing (unit, component, and integration)
• Knowledge of industry standard Quality Assurance best practices for testing methodologies
• Leads internal improvement projects, initiatives and task forces
• Leads in planning, designing of test area coverage
• Customer case reproduction and investigation
• Drive Quality improvement actions
• Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency
• Interface adaptation, testing and troubleshooting tool development (python), build time optimization, maintaining good SW practices
• Proposing and leading internal improvement projects, initiatives and task forces if needed
• Contributing to the evolution of internal processes with target for continuous efficiency increase of development teams
• Feature implementation (C++ / Java / Python)
• Code optimization
• Test optimization

You will be able to develop your knowledge and skills while working on one of the most state-of-the-art and disruptive technologies.

• You have at least two years of industry experience in continuous integration or delivery
• You have experience with common CICD related tools, including Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, Absolute, Docker, Kubernetes, GetOps, etc.
• You have experience with any object-oriented programming language such as C+/Java/Python, with at least two years of software development experience
• Possess certain practical skills in software architecture design and system thinking
• Priority given to those with experience in cloud native technology development, operation and maintenance, or open source software/tool development
• You are proactive and independent
• You have great communication skills that allow you to feel comfortable in a team and to motivate colleagues
• You enjoy learning and continuous improvement
• You have demonstrated industry experience in the areas of software development
• You understand the significance of good SW practices for high-quality SW
• You know the benefits of agile SW development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
• Experience with LINUX - Experience in scripting/coding with one or more languages (such as Python, Golang,…)
• Knowledge of processor architectures, embedded systems, and real-time systems
• Understanding of the cloud runtime environments and bare metal runtime environments of embedded systems
• Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) cloud-native characteristics, including Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure software (such as RedHat, AWS, AZURE, GCP, ...)
• Experience of open-source software
