We are hiring a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to be part of our Singapore office. In general, this role will provide technical support in mechanical engineering for the Singapore Office and more generally to the Asia Region; support the Building Services (BS) Lead in the business development and marketing of the Group capabilities; and manage project inputs and ensure the project budget and controls are in place. Main duties:
- Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications etc.) for, building M&E infrastructure, particularly in Healthcare and/or Data Center projects
- Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications and drawings from client briefs;
- Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans / specifications are maintained across the project and coordination with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project;
- Familiar and understand relevant Local Building Codes and international standards to ensure compliance;
- Help preparing proposal and bids;
- Engage with drafting and design staff to fulfil deliverables;
- Lead and attend to project/site meeting with Client, PM and Consultants from other disciplines;
- Conduct site inspection, and respond to technical queries;
- Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools to meet specific project requirements;
- Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines;
- Build cultivate and build relationships with client generally as a Doer/Seller role
- Write technical reports and specifications including functional descriptions for M&E systems;
- Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.
To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore. Experience in BIM and 3D models is crucial.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience in data center projects will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
