Responsible for the creation of a yearly NAM strategy for each area under their remit. This should take into account consumer trend and behavior, Global and Market business needs, what has and has not worked previously
Ensure execution of strategy across each area of the business (taking direction from paper to consumer)
Direct all channel teams that support Brand, SPW/TR and Purpose (set direction, oversee briefs, ensure they know how they can support, what success looks like, clear obstacles, keep accountabilities etc)
Support VP Brand Communication in MaEx process: building, managing, analysis, forecasting and reporting
Be able to look across the categories to coordinate, money and resources strategically to accomplish our business goals
Ensure the execution of the Global/NAM calendar (including any locally planned and globally approved Market-specific initiatives)
Lead local Brand Campaign creation within Global guidelines while servicing NAM sport needs
Partnership with Media team for Brand Media and category media planning, decisions and execution
Set reactive strategy and coordinate with BUs to ensure a consistent approach and application of best practies
Responsible for key KPIs for each area of responsibility and corrective actions / learnings against them § Oversight of agency roster and selection to ensure strong relationships, good direction, diversity of skill sets and perspectives and appropriate pricing (in partnership with procurement)
Oversee sell-in tools for key milestones
Consistent planning and communication with BU teams to ensure marketing and product plans are complimentary
Lead by example in driving a high employee engagement and high performance culture
Identify and develop high-potential talents, to fuel the team's succession plan
Oversee full team, give feedback, counsel, help to ensuring strongest team possible
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Progressive experience in brand and/or product marketing
Leading and managing a diverse team
Proven ability to take projects from high level strategy all the way to consumer touch points
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation, planning, and analytical skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), with an emphasis in Marketing/Business/Sales preferred, and
At least 10 years sports or other product marketing or related experience, 6 years at the managerial level in the Sporting Goods Industry.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
