PURPOSEAND OBJECTIVES

You will gain detailed local and regional tax and business knowledge by working closely with your colleagues in a hybrid work environment.

EXPECTATIONSAND TASKS

The Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing/supporting any Direct Tax topics in the EMEA/MEE region, especially with focus on Israel:

  • Ensure that the legal entities meet internal and external compliance requirements (Corporate Income Tax, Tax Accounting, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing)
  • Actively manage and provide support in tax audits and litigations as well as Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs)
  • Manage relationships tax authorities, auditors and external tax advisors ensuring effective communication and collaboration, incl. managing of external budgets
  • Collaborate with Global Tax Team members to identify, plan, and execute opportunities for tax planning and tax optimization
  • Manage and ensure proper implementation of tax law changes,incl. the coordination with IT and key business stakeholders
  • Transformation of manual compliance in automated processes and identify process improvements on local and regional level
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters, including tax implications of business decisions and transactions ensuring a high level of “customer” satisfaction and building good business relations with key stakeholder
EDUCATIONAND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLSAND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
  • University degree (or equivalent) in tax, business studies, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills and a positive team player with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across countries and departments
  • Strong knowledge of Israeli tax regulations
  • Strong preference to work in technical/software-driven processes (SAP ERP)
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively, prioritize deadlines, and communicate progress across teams
  • Proficient in English and Hebrew (both written and spoken)

Preferred skills

  • Accounting knowledge and expertise (IFRS/local GAAP)
  • A CPA, qualified Tax Advisor or similar certification with focus on taxation is a plus
  • Basic understanding of international taxation, including transfer pricing would be advantageous
WORKEXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a tax-related role within an international environment, either in a tax consulting firm or within the tax or accounting function of a multinational company
