Description
- Working with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test and camera systems engineers to define IC engineering requirements.- Driving vendors from requirement to delivery throughout entire development process.- Reviewing and providing vendor verification plan/results.- Reviewing and providing guidance internal validation plan/results.- Driving the development of emulation platform with discrete design or FPGA- Providing IC specific and broad electrical engineering support to camera HW and cross functional teams.-Reviewing and providing guidance for board level design including associated components, signals and power supply.
Key Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of EE fundamentals.
  • Past experience in working on a real life application of ICs down to their specifications
  • Analog/mixed signal IC development experience especially in the field of low power/low noise sensing and signal processing
  • Having an understanding of board level design/constraints, power assessment and analysis, etc.
  • Optimizing designs across multiple disciplines, including Hardware/Firmware design partitioning, trade-off assessments, design checking and tolerance analysis
  • Strong commitment to going above and beyond to get work done at the highest quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with the development and analysis of experiments to root-cause challenging problems and sharp problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Verilog, or similar simulation, design & modeling tools.
  • Track of record with entire IC development all the way to large volume production ramp-up.
  • Past experience of independence in designing complex systems.
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
