BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Go, etc.)
- Strong technical expertise in data management systems, including experience in high-volume data collection, storage, and analysis
- Deep understanding of scalable distributed systems, and cloud-based solutions, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and operational excellence practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner

DESCRIPTION

Ring is expanding and this role will be key in the development of cutting-edge solutions for collecting, storing, and analyzing vast amounts of data. This role will both inherit existing and build new services to enhance observability across Ring devices, mobile apps, and cloud services.
A day in the life
- Build automation and self-service solutions
- Participate in Operation Excellence reviews to spot negative trends before they become production issues.
- Help key stakeholders in a variety of security and application groups across Ring with data ingestion and analytic projects.About the team
You will be joining a veteran team with several members who have 4+ years experience at Ring and Amazon. Ring doorbells and security products are part of neighborhoods across the country, so you can take pride in supporting a tangible product that helps our Neighbors be safe.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
