As a Markets Operations (Derivatives Ops) - Commodities Settlements - Analyst in Operations you will play a critical role in ensuring cash is delivered to and received from clients in a timely and accurate manner, mitigating risk, investigating, and resolving complex trade queries and providing a first-class service to our clients and internal Front Office teams. Working within the Derivative Operations team you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the globe to support the firm’s business objectives, maintain a controlled and efficient back-office function and seek to leverage technology to improve processes.
Job responsibilities
- Takes responsibility for production and provision of invoices to clients
- Agrees settlement details with clients (accurate settlement of cash owed to clients or JPM within all currency cut off times)
- Takes responsibility of cash accounting, reconciliation, and account funding
- Provides an excellent level of service to external clients and internal sales and trading desks, resolving queries, and fulfilling client requests
- Works closely and communicates effectively with all teams in the Commodities Business and Derivative Operations – Trading and Sales desks, Middle Offices, Credit Risk, Physical logistics teams, Business Management, Product Control, Financial Control, Reference data and Onboarding.
- Builds Commodity Product, Derivative instrument and JPM system knowledge
- Analyses and challenges current processes to identify and implement process / control improvements
- Focuses on controls and risk to ensure the team is operating at the highest compliant standard within JPM and Industry rules and regulations
- Involves in Operational and Business projects
