This position is for a Captain in a FAR part 91 corporate flight department owned andby the Sony Corporation of America.This position is based out of LAX.The Captainwill bedirectly responsibleas well as confirming theairworthiness of thatfor each assigned flight. Theis the on-site managerand representative of this department and is the final authority as to the conduct ofoperations of thewhen away from home base. Thewill ensurecompliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Flight Operations Manual (FOM) andStandard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual policy and guidance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility and accountability of theis for the safe conduct ofassigned flights. Pilot responsibilities are outlined in the Flight Operations Manual(FOM) and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual. Awill perform allwhen assigned to a trip.
Specific duties include:
yingwiththe authorized Trip Sheet schedule and associated guidanceduringaircraftoperations.
Providingexcellent customer services to passengers.
Checking weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available, anddeterminingfuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
Determiningtheaircraftweight and balance.
Ensuring that all flight-planning and ATC filing requirements have been met.
Ensuring that theaircraftis airworthy, duly registered and that thedocumentation specified in the FOMareon board theaircraft.
Ensuringthat theaircraftis clean and prepared for flight with all provisions onboard for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
Ensuringan aircraftpre-flight inspection has been properly conducted beforedeparture.
Briefing the passengersin accordance withthe requirements specified in theFOM and SOP.
Operating theaircraftin accordance withthe Aircraft Flight Manual,AircraftLoading Manual, and the aircraft’s published limitations.
Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration and cabotage laws.
Timely andaccuratecommunication with Scheduling during an assignedflight.
Completing all post flight duties, including notification to the company of anydeviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location.
Recording flight times andaircraftdefects.
Ensuringthataircraftoperations are conductedin accordance withthe highest flight safety standards of Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 91), the Aircraft Manufacturer’s Flight Manual and the FOM and SOP.
Utilizingaccepted Crew Resource Management procedures.
ingall scheduled training events.
Maintaining and holding (on person) a valid FAA pilot license withappropriatetyperatings and English Proficiency Endorsement, First Class MedicalCertificate, FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Maintaining and holding a valid passport and any required visas as well as currentID Cards required by the FOM.
Performingoperationally related administrative duties intimelyand professionalmanner.These duties may include, but are not limited to, maintaining navigational charts and related databases, and performing aircraft inventories.
Collateral Duties:
Performduties as assigned by Chief Pilot.
Captainsmay bedesignatedin a collateral assignment as Safety Manager,Standardization Pilot, Training Pilot or Security Manager or as an assistantto oneof these positions.
Your qualifications and experience should include:
An Airline Transport Pilot rating withappropriate qualificationsforaircraftoperated.
Turbo jet transport category experience with international operations isrequired.
Must be able to pass an FAA First Class Medical.
Must have Global operating experience including extensive experience in Europe and APAC.
Consideration on flight hour experience will be given for military trained pilots but corporate experience remains desirable.
