Within WWSO, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing relational database architectures leveraging AWS services. The Relational Database Specialist Solutions Architect will work closely with the Database Services team, Business Development and Sales to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption and revenue of AWS. You will work with the largest companies in the world to design flexible and cost-effective cloud-based solutions. You will develop whitepapers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AWS services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help other SA’s understand how to integrate AWS relational database services into customer architectures. As a trusted advisor and strategic leader with technical expertise in PostgreSQL database systems, you will share recommendations around security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate building key data solutions and applications on AWS for our customers. You will guide the customers/partners in designing the migration strategy for their data workload on AWS.Key job responsibilitiesDevise Strategy ­and Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Professional Services and Partners to define a Database & Analytics Engagement strategy for AWS operational territories and key accounts.
