Job Description

He is responsible for end to end ownership of the design, architecture and development of the payments projects for core banking applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for the payments projects design and architecture
  • Define end- to-end technical solution to address business requests. This includes -
    • Defining use cases
    • Define AS-IS and TO-BE flows
    • Document impact to each of the application in the flow, along with the details of change required
  • Involved in the design reviews, technical code reviews
  • Work closely with Global Strategy and Architecture (GSA) to ensure alignment to the global strategy and resolve design issues.
  • Present end to end solution design & individual application impacts to the delivery teams in deliverable decomposition meeting
    • The number of impacted applications could range from 1 to 100+ depending on the project
  • Review high level and low level (platform) design and testing strategy and support the development and testing teams as the solutions are built out.
  • Involve in the early engagement with Product and Operations to provide high level solutions and estimates to engagement requests.
  • Peer review solution architecture designs produced by team members
  • Managing the team who is responsible for the development of payments & non payments projects who will be involved in the high level design and development
  • Responsible for end-to-end technology delivery of the assigned project and is the primary point of escalation for technology issues.
  • Highlight and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Manage vendor teams and their deliverables
  • Drive innovation within the teams.
  • Drives overall technology execution and manages line of business stakeholder relationships and acts as their advocate throughout the life of the project.
  • Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation.
  • Accountable for hiring and building the talent within the teams
  • Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies.
  • Effectively communicates with the team, managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed.
  • Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change.
  • Strong program management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines and work across work streams seamlessly

Education:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA

Experience Range:15 – 20+ years


Foundational Skills:

  • Should have Experience between 14 to 16 years.
  • Strong Payments banking domain expertise
  • Strong Program management experience, ability to lead agile teams and drive to results.
  • Mainframe - COBOL,JCL, IMS, DB2, VSAM, MQ, API, and tools like Expeditor, changeman,GIT bucket, Horizon, Filemanager, File Aid
  • Technology knowledge/ strength in emerging technologies
  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must possess analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-driven personality rather than being told what to do.
  • Strong project financial management skills
  • Good eye for talent
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Guides projects through all phases, ensuring processes are followed, required documents are completed, and required tracking systems are kept updated
  • Develops and manages to project plan
  • Identifies, assigns, tracks, escalates, and resolves issues
  • Experience in tracking the tasks and progress of a major project, escalating and resolving issues, planning for and managing resources and funding. Holds resources accountable for deliverables on time and budget
  • Schedules and facilitates regular meetings to review progress and status, and ad hoc topical meetings; formulates agendas and documents minutes, action items. etc.
  • Ability to provide project status on deliverables or escalate issues to sr. leaders and executives
