  • Automatically scan and categorize(classify, label etc.) all forms of data everywhere they live, from on-premises, to Azure, to other clouds to Software as a Service platforms,
  • Enable customers to define the data policies they need to meet corporate and government compliance requirements and then enforce those policies on the customer's behalf and
  • Make all this data discoverable and re-usable at scale,
  • Lay the foundations for effective data governance.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with large multi-national corporate customers, managing client relationships, partnering with developers and technology partners to drive product deliverables.
  • Experience in defining the vision and then delivering major components of  cloud services.

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience as a product developer.
  • Desire to work collaboratively, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate successes.

Responsibilities
  • Defining the vision for your product area and successfully turning that vision into reality
  • Working directly with customers to fully understand their requirements and use that understanding to drive the
  • Work with customers, partners, and the engineering team to define and deliver impactful User Experiences.
  • Drive improvements inPurview Data Scanning infrastructure to capture semantic metadata (Classification, Microsoft Information Protection-MIP Labels) in the Purview platform across customers hybrid multi-cloud data estate.
  • Drive user research, telemetry, and A/B (Alpha/Beta) testing to provide best in class data-driven insightsin collaboration with the design
  • Work with Customers and UX (User Experience) designers to design experiences that are both highly effective and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Deep diving into core technologies ranging from AI (Artificial Intelligence) to search to HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) to Spark to SQL and beyond to understandwhat's possible and help lead us into pushing the boundaries of the state of the art.
  • Working directly with internal and external groups that need to integrate with the governance infrastructure, and
  • DriveMicrosoft Purview’s product requirements and priorities in partnership with the product management and Development teams.
