In this role, you’re expected to:
Lead Projects supporting the Finance Chief Risk Office (CRO) / Non-Trading Market Risk & Regulatory Capital Review Management organizations. Projects fall into several categories including - Consent Order Closure, Matters Requiring Attention (MRA), Strategic Initiatives and potentially some Regulatory Exam Management.
The role is responsible for overall day-to-day project management, including leading projects, engaging with project sponsors and senior stakeholders, managing overall project plans, addressing escalations, risk and issues and maintaining compliance to Citi Program Management Council requirements. Requires prior experience with cross-functional, regulatory-driven programs within Risk or Finance. A strong candidate will have the excellent communication skills required in order to present and negotiate at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
- Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness.
- Assesses creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
- Oversees program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
- Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones.
- Monitors program commitment from those assigning resources.
- Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
- Creates the program risk management plan.
- Makes recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience
- Prior experience in Risk, Finance or Data/Technology preferred
- Management Consulting experience a plus
- Good knowledge of banking and trading products, familiar understanding of interest-rate or liquidity risk management metrics and regulations
- Strong working knowledge on waterfall or agile methodologies
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in content creation for executive summary, senior management review packages
- Highly organized, detail oriented, experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
- PMP preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience.
