Key job responsibilities
* Design, develop and deploy highly innovative AI models to interact with Sellers and delight them with solutions.* Guide teams of scientists and software engineers to drive real-time model implementations and deliver novel and highly impactful features.* Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.* Lead research program to implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches.* Lead strategic initiatives to employ the most recent advances in AI in a fast-paced, experimental environment.* Drive the vision and roadmap for how ML can continually improve Selling Partner experience.* Represent the team as a science leader across Amazon and in public settings.

* PhD or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.* 4+ years experience of managing successful teams.* 7+ years industry experience building successful production science systems.* Experience with machine learning technologies, Deep Learning, large language models (LLMs), information retrieval and/or related applications.* Experience communicating with executives and non-technical leaders.* Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and statistics.* Ability to map business problems to appropriate science solutions.

* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field.* Published research work in academic conferences or industry circles.* Experience in building large-scale machine-learning models and infrastructure for business applications.* Effective verbal and written communication skills with non-technical and technical audiences.* Experience working with large real-world data sets and building scalable models from big data.* Exhibits excellent business judgment; balances business, product, and technology very well.* Experience in developing agentic AI systems.
