Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the ongoing development, deployment and governance of GE Healthcare occupational health policies and standards for APAC
Establish and audit medical surveillance protocols, including evaluation and measurement of worksite conditions to meet regulatory and company-specific protocols.
Provide medical leadership and oversight of on-site and outsourced medical clinics, staff and services to ensure regulatory compliance, appropriate spending, continuous improvement in processes and service offerings.
Partner with GE Healthcare’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), ERGs, HR and business leaders on the health and safety aspects of company initiatives.
Support and when appropriate, lead in the identification, recruitment, and training of new talent.
Be the subject matter expert in occupational health issues including giving advice on health aspects of hazards and other occupational health issues (accommodations, restrictions, return to work etc).
Partner with global security, EHS and business leaders on employee health, safety, and travel-related risks inclusive of crisis management and global emergencies.
Be an avid promoter and champion of employee health and well-being, partnering cross-functionally with HR, Total Rewards, and EHS to design programs that support health, fitness and wellness of GE healthcare employees and their families Efficient utilization for regional medical services.
Work closely with the Global medical director to review health spending and claims data, to make recommendations, and work collaboratively to develop programs that achieve decreased employee health risk and achieve lower costs for employees and the business
Required Qualifications
Licensed Physician, Medical Doctor with advanced training in Occupational medicine and public health
Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, corporate occupational health setting Proven ability to deliver occupational health and wellbeing strategy at a regional level and experience managing other clinicians (physician and nurses) through direct and dotted line reporting structures.
Excellent presentation and written communication skills focused on the importance and value of occupational health.
Comfortable interfacing with business leaders and executives
Fluent in written and spoken English and ability to explain complex medical concepts in occupational health and well-being in lay terminology Multilingual is preferred.
Desired Characteristics
Familiarity with electronic medical records, digital savvy
Deep understanding of regional/country privacy and occupational health standards across APAC
Ability to understand and navigate complex organizational dynamics
Familiarity with LEAN and other continuous quality improvement methods
Multilingual
