Manage capacity planning standards for all Megapack manufacturing lines in the factory
Create operating plans for all production lines, including labor requirements, breaking strategies, and shift schedules using linear programming, and assess headcount addition/removal requests based on line needs and requirements
Conduct options analysis for existing line optimization and new line installations and estimate resource requirements for factory footprint expansion projects
Work with internal operations and management teams to define scenarios for growth and formulate improvement strategies to help with product ramp
Perform capacity studies and static sensitivity analyses to identify factors impacting line throughput (OEE, Headcount, number of material handling equipment) and make recommendations for improvement
Perform discrete event simulation modeling and statistical modeling to influence key business decisions
Lead continuous improvement exercises across various manufacturing functions
Standardize metrics and problem solving tools
Design assembly line, support space, and amenity area layouts using quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques to facilitate smooth operations and optimize cost/sqft
Lead projects to efficiently allocate and space inside and outside the factory to support value-added and support team operations
What You’ll Bring
7+ years’ practical experience working as an Industrial Engineer
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive projects with diverse teams in a manufacturing environment
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Extensive experience with Excel Macros (VBA a plus)
Experience with automated/semi-automated manufacturing lines and robotics is a plus
