Job Description

  • The person in this role will:

    • Provide day to day EHS support for site and the other locations in the region.

    • Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and training.

    • Partner with and lead managers, supervisors, and team leaders in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations.

    • Support the development and implementation the site level requirements for our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs where applicable.

    • Conduct periodic audits related to the EHS management systems, compliance, and company policy/procedure conformance.

    • Complete all required environmental, safety, and other regulatory reports per local requirements.

    • Be the EHS subject matter expert for the locations you support with excellent customer service.

    • Analyze EHS performance metrics, self-assessments, and trends and respond in a proactive matter to prevent or minimize EHS incidents and monitor program / system status.

    • Manage the site-level risk assessment process.

    • Provide support to our ESG (sustainability) efforts for the sites under your span of control.

    • Keep current on regulatory trends and provide updates to location management and corporate EHS as needed.

    • Provide expert advice and guidance health, safety, and environmental management

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. (Desirable)

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both German and English.

  • Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment

  • Must be proficient in MS Office programs

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work to commitments

  • Communicate concepts in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner

  • Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) (Desirable)

  • Candidates must hold a recognized Health and Safety Professional certifications, such as SIFA
