Overview of the Role
Active Directory Senior Engineer
Responsibilities
Project Efforts
Work with other Engineering and Operations teams to complete large projects
Represent AD Engineering in cross-organizational efforts
Manage full Engineering lifecycle for AD Enhancement efforts
Review application interactivity with Active Directory in a lab context prior to release to UAT and Production environments
Assist application managers with establishing AD connectivity
Ensure applications do not negatively impact AD functionality
Lab Management
Assist with managing Lab Server fleet to required standards
Perform post-patching checkouts to ensure no negative impacts prior to promotion to UAT
Respond to user issues with logons, passwords, lockouts, etc
Respond to user requests for Groups, OUs, Users, etc
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience with on-premise Active Directory
Some Azure experience an asset but the Core Requirement is excellent knowledge of on-premise Active Directory
Skills Required
Advanced understanding of, and experience with:
Modern AD Security Concepts
Active Directory Backup and Restore
Group Policies
- LDAP Connectivity
- Kerberos / NTLM Authentication
- AD Port and Protocol Knowledge
- Non-Windows Applications Connecting to AD
Active Directory Network Traffic
General IT Skills
Risk and Security Awareness
Good Communication Skills
Technical Documentation Skills and experience
