As an Associate within Investable Index Solutions, you will help drive client business and revenue by responding to inquiries and client RFPs, pitching new ideas and running quantitative analysis. The team is part of the broader Global Structuring Solutions team which is a structuring desk that originates bespoke investment and financing solutions across a spectrum of different client bases, ranging from retail/high net-worth individuals to large institutional accounts and sponsors. You will partner with sales and trading desks globally to offer best-in-class product knowledge and deal execution.

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials for client calls, roadshows and meetings, including but not limited to: marketing materials on new products, market updates on topical themes and index performance in partnership with our trading partners
  • Develop bespoke portfolio solutions and strategies for clients specific objectives and payoffs using robust fundamentals, quantitative and qualitative inputs
  • Analyze and back-test systematic index strategies portfolios that best answer clients' objectives;
  • Manage the execution process: coordinate among sales, trading, QR, legal and other involved parties (credit, compliance, business management, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze returns across the firm’s systematic strategy offerings and client portfolios
  • Define and drive the technology and systems agenda for the Investable Index business in conjunction with key partners in sales, operations and JPM technology teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong quantitative skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Quick learner and desire to learn about products across assets, particularly risk factor investing
  • Exceptional attention to detail, hardworking, flexible
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Bloomberg, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Licenses 7,63, SIE

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Programming experience is strongly preferred.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
