Role Overview:
The role requires effective coordination across various development streams in an agile methodology and handling different delivery phases; from unit testing through to System Integration testing; full End to End testing with multiple upstream and downstream systems; Production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environment Management: Oversee and manage multiple test environments to support parallel development streams and testing phases.
- Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain an environment strategy and roadmap that aligns with project timelines and agile sprints.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including development teams, QA teams, upstream and downstream systems, and business functions (Risk, Finance and Treasury).
- Configuration & Release Management: Ensure proper configuration and version control across environments, coordinating deployments and releases (using JIRA and BitBucket).
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot environment-related issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve incidents.
- Capacity Management: Monitor resource usage and performance to ensure environments are scalable and meet project demands.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation on environment configurations, changes, and status reports for project stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies and practical applications i.e. JIRA, CI/CD theory and practical use of BitBucket.
- Experience in Financial Services: Familiarity with Wholesale Lending and the associated upstream and downstream systems (i.e. payments) and business functions (Risk, Finance and Treasury).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and environment-related issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Relevant certifications in Project Management/Agile, ITIL, or DevOps practices.
- Experience in environment management or a similar role in large-scale technology projects.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
- Knowledge of Loan IQ
- Expertise in Project, JIRA and BitBucket
