EY’s Tax Technology practice focuses on the following capabilities:
- Strategy and Planning: We develop business and enterprise architecture strategies that identify critical business capabilities and plan their implementation through roadmaps and prioritizing strategic initiatives
- Architecture organization and operating model Design: We use the architecture discipline and industry leading practices and frameworks to establish an architecture function and improve its capabilities
- Architecture Governance: We help organizations define and execute architecture governance by developing architecture principles, creating architecture operating model and defining architecture governance bodies such as the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Design Authority (DA).
- Architecture Development – We develop and implement architecture blueprints related to business architecture, information/data architecture, application and technology architecture. Additionally we perform architecture assessments and help define the future state blueprints and architecture strategy by applying enterprise architecture practices
Your Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Guiding organizations in solving business and IT challenges through enterprise architecture capabilities.
- Providing deep subject matter expertise and thought leadership on various architecture domains including business, application, information, data, security, and solution architecture
- Advising clients on developing the target architectures, performing architectural assessment and gap analysis and help formulate the overall EA strategy and roadmap using industry frameworks such as TOGAF
- Building trusted relationships with client executives including business/IT leadership and CIOs. Serve as a trusted advisor for solving complex business challenges
- Providing deep technical expertise on all areas of architecture design and on all stages of architecture development life cycle
- Guiding EA organizations with building out reference architectures and guide the client through the execution of reference architecture
Skills and attributes for success
A bachelor's (or advanced) degree with approximately 12 years of related work experience in an architecture discipline
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in architecture disciplines include one or more of enterprise architecture, business architecture, data, security, application and technology architectures
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a diverse and uncertain business environment
- Current knowledge of global industry and IT trends and the impact that these might have on an organization
- Ability to build and maintain a book of business, ability to lead proposal writing efforts and attain specific yearly sales targets
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Fluency in Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies (Zachman, TOGAF, Gartner, etc.). Certifications in at least one leading practice / framework is preferred but not required.
- Experience in similar consulting firms and demonstrated track record of providing consulting services to organizations
- Experience with systems integration (including delivering projects related to COTS, custom, ERP, CRM solutions etc.) and deep expertise in software development methodologies (agile, waterfall).
- Experience in providing thought leadership on emerging and disruptive technologies such as internet of things (IoT), cloud, analytics, reporting, Blockchain, Digital

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $88,800 to $257,600. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $106,600 to $292,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
