Key job responsibilities
The Sr. BIE is accountable for:
(1) Working closely with Product Managers and business managers, distilling data analysis requirements from ambiguous business problems.
(2) Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines to extract valuable insights from diverse data sources. This includes making appropriate trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs.
(3) Communicating findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A day in the life
- Review weekly metrics, and look for risks/opportunities in existing initiatives- Review pipeline of experiments and prioritize those that would benefit the most from interventions

- 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
