What you will do:

As a Backend developer, you will be part of a highly focused, self-managed team that designs, develops and tests secure solutions created for Z Systems workloads and applications.

Responsible for all aspects of management, improvement, and support of the microservice platform’s Linux based infrastructure. Provide feedback to architects regarding any issues that present themselves. Manage projects with various priority levels and timelines from start to finish.

Demonstrate best practices in all aspects of administration. Leverage various languages to build features based on an architectural design. Develop and maintain accurate documentation for internal procedures and services.

Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems/tasks.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Up to 8 Years of working experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu/RHEL) in a production environment.

Programming Skills:

• C++ (c16 client / server – core components)
• Python
• Shell Scripting

Other Skills

• Knowledge of Containers (for eg. docker / Podman etc) & related technologies like container registries, Dockerfiles, creating container images, deploying containers etc
• Strong knowledge of Linux basics including packing, package managers, working with system services, distro specific development, building source code into distro specific packages, pkg installation etc.
• Knowledge of working with Linux distros specifically Ubuntu
• Understanding of Ubuntu logging / deb packages / systemctl services
• Security basics (could include basic understanding of identity mgmt/authentication, authorization, firewall, auditing, secure communication, managing certificates, password management etc)
• Excellent presentation and soft skills
• Domain Expertize (Good to have)
• Understand of cryptographic key management and it’s lifecycle
• At least Conceptual knowledge of Hardware Security Modules, PKCS #11 APIs, Trusted Execution Environments, Quantum
• Safe Algorithms
• Logging/Monitoring (basic understanding and application)
• Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) – basic understanding of how code is built and deployed in a continuous manner
• Strong Technical leadership skills (achieving excellence through code quality and practices, architecture decisions, innovation)
• Strong English communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• General understanding of private /public / hybrid cloudconcepts.
• General understanding of HW servers and server componentslike CPU / core/ memory/sockets / adapters
• General understanding of open source projects; experiencewith open source community contribution can be an addedadvantage.
