About the RoleTwitch Security Platform builds and operates the technology at the intersection of security, software engineering, and data engineering. As a Senior Engineering Manager, Security Platform, you will guide a diverse group of software engineers and security engineers to build critical tools and automation solutions used across Twitch. You will report to the Director of Identity, Privacy, and Security Platforms.You will manage engineers responsible for operating our security data platform handling billions of weekly events, a multi-petabyte data lake, and numerous analysis tools that provide critical data across the organization to support important security programs. You will also lead engineers responsible for writing software to accomplish security at scale through automation, libraries, and services. With this team, you will lead problem identification, measurement, and problem execution. Programs you support will include Data Governance, Detection and Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Privacy.You Will
- Encourage others to do excellent work through your leadership.
- Attract, grow, and retain excellent software engineers.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable tooling and automation.- Extend, scale, and redefine the Twitch Security Platform.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of professional software development.
- 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead.
- 1+ years working with task management tools such as Jira.
- Knowledge of AWS services, open source technologies, and ETL tools and data warehousing solutions
- Experience hiring and developing remote engineers under your guidance.
- Experience gathering feedback from customers to inform engineering prioritization.
