As a Business Analyst within the Correspondent Compliance Team, you will work with the Compliance Manager and Correspondent Lending Pre-Purchase team, to achieve all associated organizational and workforce aligned objectives. In support of our key values, ensuring loans are purchased which meet regulatory compliance, and communication of any potential trends or issues, with maximum transparency. You will assist the Pre-Purchase management team with streamlining processes, foster a collaborative working environment and ensuring Pre-Purchase is always audit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Correspondent Compliance Management, to achieve all associated organizational and workforce aligned objectives.
  • Ensure that all work items are completed as per the agreed timelines in relation to compliance reviews done across Correspondent Lending
  • Handle complex regulatory questions from team and internal customers
  • Provide real time feedback and set expectations that are measurable and attainable
  • Constantly review and update internal processes to enhance efficiency through automation, better employee, and stakeholder experience
  • Collect, collation, and analysis of data sets from sources across platforms for the purpose of advancing the Compliance Review Process
  • Identify gap and trends in the overall compliance review process and identify opportunities to visualize and create MIS controls, job aids, updates to procedures, and recommendations to systems
  • Identify risks and ensure appropriate controls are put in place
  • Work in collaboration with key business partners to develop and implement solutions and controls
  • Participate in various testing related to system enhancement, project implementation, and new onboarding to relations to Compliance activities within Correspondent Pre-Purchase

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Compliance and Regulatory requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of work related experience in TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures)
  • Extensive knowledge of Regulation Z (QM/GQM) & HMDA
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Banking and Correspondent Lending
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced excel knowledge
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Show strong initiative with good follow through
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business administration, Management
  • Managerial experience
  • Knowledge of Encompass Loan Origination System
  • SharePoint design
