Description
The site reliability engineering team is looking for an experienced engineers with strong knowledge across architecture, design, coding, networking , compute and network capacity management, continuous delivery and deployment. You will contribute to the end-to-end design, development, and support of software including, but not limited to, observability, support documentation. Software will mainly focus on enhancing operational efficiency and production deployment velocity. In an organisation with daring goals and autonomy, you will engage in providing technical leadership on high impact projects, influence and drive multi-functional teams, facilitate alignment and clarity across teams, and balance priorities, deadlines and deliverables. You will be encouraged to practice and champion foundational software and systems development principles.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in development and experience with hyperscale production systems
- Software development skills in interpreted languages (Python, etc), compiled languages (Golang, etc), version control systems (Git), and CI systems (Jenkins, etc)
- Hands-on experience in handling algorithms, data structures
- Ability to work with container technologies including APIs (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrable experience in building monitoring, alerting, and observability for large scale distributed systems
- Strong ability to triage and debug production incidents for software and network failures
- Strong and consistent track record of working with multi-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with infrastructure-as-code / configuration management tools and APIs (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
- Experience working with bare metal systems and knowledge of operating systems
- In-depth knowledge on networking protocols and packet forwarding architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, architectures, and APIs.
- Experience with Integration / interactions of tooling with APIs
- Bachelors (Masters is an advantage) Degree in Computer Science
