As a Machinist Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating and maintaining various machines to produce high-quality parts and components. You will work with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the efficient and accurate production of parts according to specifications. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Freeport, IL location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by: - Setting up and operating machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to produce parts - Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations - Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity - Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary adjustments - Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Set up and operate machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
The annual base salary range for this position is <$min $53,040 ($25.5/hr -$mid $59,280 ($28.5/hr) >. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. MUST HAVE
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machinist Level 2 or similar role
WE VALUE
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field
• Experience with CNC machining
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
