Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation as code for platform engineering and developer portal teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, product owners to gather information and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Create clear, concise, and user-friendly client facing technical documentation.
- Implement and manage documentation workflows within an agile framework, ensuring timely updates and continuous delivery in sync with product delivery.
- Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage documentation changes and collaborate with the development team.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with product updates.
- Develop tutorials, guides, media, videos and other educational materials to support developers in using our platform effectively.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to stay aligned with the agile development process
Requirements:- At least 5 yrs experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Documentation as Code principles and practices.
- Must understand IT technologies using cloud-based application and tools
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and documentation tools (e.g., Markdown).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience working within an agile framework and participating in agile ceremonies including presentation of work in Sprint Reviews.
- Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and developer portals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
- Understand IT technologies using cloud-based application and tools, ITIL is plus
- Working knowledge of SDLC and software development practices
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
