Minimum qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in mechanical test engineering for consumer hardware.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role.
- Experience with test fixture design, assembly, development, system bring-up, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools such as SolidWorks.
- Experience with factory automation, ongoing system monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical tests such as force testing, water leak tests, and durability/life cycle testing.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles and a track record of providing effective feedback on product design.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills.
- Strong background in high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing, particularly with smartphones or similar devices.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles, fixture design, and manufacturing processes.
