What you need to know about the role:You will be part of the Workshop design team across all end-to-end experiences for PayPal consumers globally and work closely with your product and engineering partners to inform and drive the strategy and roadmap. You will work with other leaders and cross-functional team members to build and deliver the best possible experiences across all aspects of commerce from discovery to post-purchase experiences.

Job Description:

Expect an immersive, fast-paced environment. You will oversee multiple projects while flexing your skills as an effective communicator, especially when relaying creative concepts to our design teams and company stakeholders.

In your day to day you will:

  • Design leadership - drive best practices in process and methodology and deliver against business and customer needs
  • Guide UX efforts across teams, including strategy, planning, and working with cross-functional partners to remove blockers and present effectively to senior staff and stakeholders
  • Leverage and extend the use of design systems, style guides, patterns, and assets in the creation of UX deliverables
  • Contribute to the wider UX community, mentoring others, and leveraging your strengths to help others grow
  • Ensure that all the organization’s output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand and strategic commitments.
  • Apply a customer-focused, iterative design process.
  • Make design decisions based on research and insights, as well as advocate for continuous learning and inclusive design best practices.
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional Design team members (Research, Content Design, UX Operations, Branding) and Business and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Requirements

What do you need to bring:

  • 10 to 12+ years in a UX role, bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in the study of user experience, design, research, or related fields or equivalent professional experience
  • Thorough command of the UX lifecycle with deep, direct experience in all skill areas and tools, including facilitation of workshops or other collaboration techniques to drive momentum and credibility within the organization
  • Complete UX skillset, to deliver excellence across products and platforms, mobile apps, and financial services expertise an advantage
  • Experience leading delivery, through feedback, design critique, presentation to program sponsors, planning, and coordinating with partners where needed
  • High degree of craft, taste, and product intuition, with a keen eye toward future trends, emerging technology, and shifting customer expectations.
