As an Derivative Settlements Associate in EMEA Derivative Settlements Team, you will be responsible for managing the settlements process for Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, Equity Derivatives, and Commodities. You will work closely with a diverse client base, including Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Corporates, Financial Institutions, Governments, and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV). Your role will involve high levels of client and Middle Office interaction, requiring you to innovate and inspire to meet the demands of a developing product set and trading growth. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining and building excellent relationships with external clients and internal teams across our Derivatives hubs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate settlement of all payments and timely resolution of client enquiries
  • Develops an understanding of Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, and related instruments
  • Maintains and builds excellent relationships with external clients and global Middle Offices
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • Identifies and investigates the root cause of errors/issues

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in people management
  • Experience in derivatives settlements
  • Previous exposure to financial products and derivatives instruments
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in learning about the markets business and developing product knowledge
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work under pressure
  • Understanding of risks and adherence to controls at all times

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Previous exposure to financial products and derivatives instruments is advantageous but not essential
