Key Responsibilities:
- Act as regulatory technical expert to support compliance of Fire projects.
- Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams so they meet product requirements.
- Clarify necessary document changes and guide technical publication team to mitigate concerns.
- Define product approval strategy in the areas of design functionality and documentation.
- Prepare test plans, setup systems, coordinate testing and obtain approval results with agencies.
- Perform/analyze software & hardware testing to identify performance gaps & improvement opportunities.
- Analyze task risks, deadlines & priorities to help management derive realistic project schedules.
- Resolve ongoing compliance concerns with engineering, marketing & technical publication teams.
- Utilize quality control procedures and approval guides to perform responsible test executions.
- Direct group of global team members on test methodologies to comply with local requirements.
- Develop standard work, implement best practices, and train engineering team members.
- Maintain product & equipment compliance to latest changes from UL/ULC, EN, ISO, FM and other global standards.
- Resolve manufacturing audit concerns by providing accurate & complete information.
- Utilize resources and optimize strategies for the fastest way to execute projects.
- Identify test failure root causes and work with engineers on corrective action to resolve failures.
- Be an excellent liaison between agencies and Honeywell engineering & quality teams.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- At least 1 year of experience with new product development, agency approvals, or in an electrical/electronic testing laboratory
