At Ford Motor Company, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress. We also believe in providing you with the freedom to define and realize your dreams. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career potential as you help us define tomorrow’s transportation.

GForce application (Global Ford Configurator Engine) is part of the Global Product Representation System suite of applications centered around global vehicle ordering, configuration and delivery. GFORCE specializes in managing consumable product definitions and providing APIs for validating product configurations. Our APIs efficiently expose valid product offerings to applications which then allow users to explore the offerings available to them, and communicate their selections for fulfillment. This means that any user – dealer, consumer, fleet buyer, Ford employee, etc. – anywhere in the world that uses a Ford web site or application to research and define a vehicle to buy, GFORCE will be working behind the scenes to ensure that the user sees the vehicles and features that are valid and available for the user’s market. GForce has around 60+ clients -mostly applications and currently processes 7M transactions per day. Notable clients include the various Build & Price websites including eCommerce - which launched the successful Mach-E, Bronco and F-150 Lightning online reservation and ordering. Aside from the configuration APIs, GForce is building an internal facing GForce UI that will support Ford business users who manage product definition data (i.e. authoring and publishing of new data) that the GForce configurator works upon. This UI application will launch in 3Q 2024.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Technical Product Manager who will manage the newly formed team that will support the GForce UI application. The UI application is made from Angular (frontend) and Springboot (backend) platforms. As a product manager, you will work with 8 software engineers most of which can do front-end and backend work (full-stack). Engineers work across the full stack of technologies to enable the highest priority work to be delivered. The Technical Project Manager will plan, monitor, execute the project deliverables, will work with product owner/stakeholder for priorities and new use cases. The application is also slated for migration to GCP this year. Knowledge of cloud technologies, SRE tools, and devops experience are important consideration for this role. This is a hybrid position. Currently, we are asked to come and collaborate into the Dearborn office (Wagner West, Rotunda Center) once a week at a minimum.
