Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This position oversees parts of our Finance Operations processes for adidas Pacific including core accounting activities. Key responsibilities include managing parts of our month-end financial closing process, contributing to our year-end audit and statutory accounts activities, and thereby ensuring full adherence to approved accounting standards and statutory requirements.
In addition, cross-functional activities include rebate management, overseeing the lease database, and preparing monthly standard or ad-hoc reports. Through engaging with our GBS (Global Business Services) team the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-end closing process which includes general ledger maintenance, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and financial postings
- Support of year-end audit and local statutory accounts process in partnership with external parties
- Assist in the Co-ordination of the wholesale trade terms process and rebate management process
- Manage lease database and ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS16)
- Assist with local tax requirements which includes compiling requirements for returns in liaison with external consultants
- Manage the price change process including analysis of price discrepancies
- Responsible for administration of finance- and business-related contract database for Pacific
- Financial ad-hoc analysis in close collaboration with Senior Manager, Accounting
- Constantly challenging the norm and ensuring the development and delivery of accurate and relevant financial solutions
- Support Senior Manager, Accounting in any Global, Emerging Market, or local relevant accounting projects

Knowledge Skills, Experience and Abilities:
- Advanced degree or qualification in accounting (e.g. CA/CPA)
- Working knowledge in handling financial accounts
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiar with ERP applications, such as SAP
- Experienced in month-end closing procedures and year-end audit requirements
- Familiar with local and International Accounting Standards and preferably local tax regulations
- Preferably 5+ years of operational finance experience with focus on accounting.
- Industry: Ideally in Apparel/ Fashion, Sport or FMCG
