Our SAP landscape is extensive, encompassing multiple modules and technologies. We operate in diverse environments with varying hosting strategies, including S4/Hana on GCP, on-premises, ECC, S4/EWM, FI, SCM, CRM, MM, TM, GRC, Solman, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a new team of multiple GSRs in Mexico, while also taking on functional reporting responsibilities for some resources based in Chennai. Your direct manager will be located in Germany.

Your primary objective will be to create a new Shared Service for SAP Basis and Security & Controls (SnC) that will support the existing dedicated Basis and SnC teams. You will build this new team on the foundation of the Chennai resources who already possess some application and SAP expertise.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (a Master's degree is a plus). The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in SAP Basis and Security & Controls, with a proven track record of leading and managing IT teams in a global or multi-location setting.

The candidate must be adaptable, willing to continuously learn, and stay updated with the latest SAP trends. This role requires the candidate to be based in Mexico, manage functional reporting for resources in Chennai, and be available to travel as needed.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP Basis and Security & Controls.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in leading and managing IT teams, preferably in a global or multi-location setting.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of SAP Security & Controls, including roles, authorizations, and compliance.
• Familiarity with various SAP modules and technologies such as S4/HANA, ECC, FI, SCM, CRM, MM, TM, GRC, and Solman.

Leadership and Management:

• Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team, with experience in team formation and development.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing and managing IT projects.
• Excellent organizational and process management skills, with the ability to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Location and Travel:

• Willingness to be based in Mexico and manage functional reporting for resources in Chennai.
• Availability to travel as needed to support team and project requirements.

Proficiency in verbal and written English is required & verbal German is a nice-to-have.
