Your Role and Responsibilities- Primary responsibility is to handle a select set of accounts as the Pre-Sales Storage Solutions Consultant
- Have clear understanding of current infrastructure and application landscape at client’s datacenter
- Analyze pain points, Size and Position the right storage solution to meet customer needs, including backup, SDS, business continuity and disaster recovery solutions
- Handle RFPs/ RFQs, proposals, customer briefings, objection handling and competitive comparisons
- Identify new opportunities for IBM storage solutions and improve IBM’s wallet share in the account
- Assist IBM business partner organizations and work with them for joint success
- Drive implementation planning and ensure successful deployment
- Play the role of a technology consultant to clients; build and manage trust-based, long-term relationships with customer’s organization on all levels
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of Key Storage Concepts including SAN, NAS, Backup, Parallel File Systems, object storage
- At least 6-10 years’ experience in storage presales in a must
- Knowledge of application landscape including core banking, ERP, HPC, mail, AI/ML/DL, Digital Banking, databases, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts, Red hat Openshift, containerization
- Should have worked in designing storage and backup solutions for above environments
- Ability to perform basic POCs and demos in the area of storage solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Professional Certification from any IBM/NON-IBM Storage OEM
- Hands on deployment of storage solutions
- Experience in analyzing storage performance and bottlenecks
- Linux Certification
