The Risk Policy Officer role is a seasoned professional responsible for managing portfolio risk policy and risk remediation actions for existing portfolio across credit lifecycle. This role is responsible for development, enhancement, and validation of risk segmentations and risk classifications and integration of proposed changes into high risk segment management treatments. Requires strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.Responsibilities:
- Develop statistical models using statistical methodologies to classify customer activities based on risk or reward, to support credit risk mitigation decisions including exposure management and account closure.
- Conduct impact quantification of proposed changes in credit strategy decision making based on risk-return metrics and P&L analysis.
- Design data driven analytic and reporting solutions using BI and software tools SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Knowledge Studio.
- Credit Abuse management oversight, including enhancement and development of Credit Authorizations, Credit Abuse and Payments Risk strategies in collaboration with 1st Party Fraud Risk. Credit Abuse linkage to Collections programs.
- Work together with counterparts from Credit Risk, High Risk, Collections and Recovery Strategy, 1st Party Fraud Risk, Model risk, IT to ensure timely risk strategy enhancements and correct implementation at an operational level.
- Ensure compliance with Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policy.
- Identify key controls for incorporation into Activities, Risks, Controls and Monitoring (“ARCMs”) and Managers Control Assessment (“MCA”).
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experiences and 5+ related analytical/technical experiences required.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities to develop quantitative solutions.
- Solid experiences in the following areas:
- Credit risk management
- P&L drivers
- Advanced technical skills and strong analytical skills/mindset. Hands-on experiences in SAS/SQL, Knowledge Studio, Microsoft Office applications and Business Intelligence reporting tools etc.
- Data Warehouse and other relational databases
- Relevant experiences working with IT to implement solutions to suit business needs
- Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries and hierarchies
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
